The mirror moment
Hello friends 👋🏼
I’ve been reflecting on the last 4 weeks in Bali, and one thing I know for sure is this:
I never want to assume I know everything and I’m not afraid to admit that sometimes I get stuck in my own head and tie myself up in knots.
I always say, the best coaches work with coaches, healers, and guides.
I remember once saying to a coach friend, when I was feeling stuck in a tricky situation,
“I should be able to figure this out.”
(Side note: ‘shoulds’ are BS, they’re just our conditioning dressed up as rules.)
And she said,
“You can’t read the ingredients on the outside of the bottle when you’re inside the bottle.”
That has never left me.
While I’ve been in Bali, I’ve seen a few different healers and guides.
Each experience was totally different, and yet, they all pointed to the same quiet truth:
✨ Most of the time, we already know.
We’re not broken or lost, we’re just too close to our own truth to see it clearly.
Sometimes, we just need someone to hold up the mirror.
✨One shaman I saw didn’t know anything about me, but without me saying a word, he knew I was a guide for others.
He pressed into a point on my neck and said,
“That’s other people’s energy you’re holding… and it’s leaving now.”
One side of my body lit up in goosebumps.
Then he pressed the other side, and the same thing happened.
I didn’t need to understand it all with my mind - my body already knew.
It was releasing what was never mine to carry.
A powerful reminder that I need to be more intentional with my energetic practices, especially after holding space for others.
Energetic housekeeping, if you will.
✨Another guide I saw felt like a mirror.
She was basically me (maybe with a slightly less gentle delivery).
Same soul language, same way of seeing the world, just… 10 degrees to the side.
She reflected back exactly what I’d say to a client, or whisper to myself on a braver day.
But hearing it from her helped it finally land.
That small shift changed how I see the next part of my path.
✨The reflexologist, a sweet, gentle soul - found tension I didn’t even know I was holding.
The side and top of my big right toe- he applied pressure it was SO sore.
He said it linked to my right temple, and whether literal or energetic, it made total sense.
From what I’ve read (I’m no expert), that part of the foot is connected to the head and neck - where we carry mental pressure, overthinking, tension, and the weight of “holding it all together.”
Also, fun fact: Without me saying a word about my health, all three mentioned something being off hormonally - something I’ve been saying to doctors for over a year.
It made me think,
How often do we, as creatives and entrepreneurs, override the pressure in our minds… until the body insists we listen?
We push through. We perform. We hold space.
And yet, the body always keeps the score.
So I’m sharing this to remind you:
✨ Even the space-holders need holding.
✨ Even the visionary ones need mirrors.
✨ Even the intuitive ones need reflection.
You’re allowed to receive.
To soften.
To lean into support.
Because sometimes, the most powerful shifts don’t come from learning something new - but from finally trusting what’s already within you.
Sometimes we just need a little help accessing that inner wisdom.
If you’re in a season where you’re ready to reconnect, remember, or be gently redirected, I’d be honoured to support you. Book a free Clarity Call with me here 🌿 I will have x2 spaces for 1:1 clients starting in June
Your truth hasn’t left you.
You just might need a mirror.
With love,
Jessica
